Visiting the orphanage

We visited the orphanage this past saturday 13, distributing a lot of food, toys, diapers and other things they needed. We also hired entertainment, a clown who entertained the kids with songs, dances and contests. The members who went to the orphanage also brought some hot dogs, cake and ice cream, which is a different meal to what they are used to and enjoyed a lot. We helped them eat, we gave them their gifts, we spent time with them and played, and helped to clean.
It was a rewarding experience, the children enjoyed a lot and "For his Children" Corporation thanked for all our efforts and help.

CRAFT SALE, JEANS DAY AND BAKE SALE

We did three fund-raising events for the campaign in order to raise money and buy food, and diapers. Through a campaign in this last months (november and december), students and teacher have contributed with clothes, toys and diapers. Still it wasn't enough to reach the neccesities of the orphanage. So we organized three fund raising events. The craft sale was a success as we sold mostly everything during the Bonfire Night, raising about $200. During the bonfire, we also sold Christmas cards made by the children of the orphanage, the money risen went directly to the orphanage. We also organized a jeans day on the 26th of November and a bake sale, raising in total about $ 440.
With this money we bought food, diapers for about a month.
