“NIÑOS FELICES” FIRST OUTLINE OF THE PROJECT

“NIÑOS FELICES”

The main aim of this project is to introduce service in which are not required to fulfill certain hours of service, encourage primary students to participate in the campaigns and even students who have to complete service hours to join this project. Within this aim, is important to encourage students of all ages to involve in this project, and understand why is it important to help others, but also to develop the will and compromise in students to help wholeheartedly.
This project includes several campaigns addressed to help poor entities, like orphanages and schools.

Some of the campaigns I have already planned to include in the project are: (note that these aren’t well detailed as I wait for authorization of the project in order to extend these ideas).

In order to involve many students in this project, I have been thinking that at least a campaign during Christmas should be done.
This campaign should include:
Compilation of provisions, materials, and other things that could be needed by different entities.
Simultaneously voluntary students or complete years, will visit the facilities of these entities and every student will support a child, and this student is in charge of providing a toy, a case of candies and spending some time with the child.
I want to emphasize that I have already done this and the results were successful, as students learn from this experience, and children enjoy this activity.

Within this project I also hope to do several campaigns to gather food, clothes, toys, diapers and other things that could be of help and simultaneously more visits to the facilities of the entities. In these visits the students could create entertainment for the children as puppets or play a movie.


In order for students to know about the campaigns taking place during the years, I plan to send bulletins through internet, and also to have posters around the school that inform students about the main features of the campaign and how they can participate.
I would like to work with primary students, and send them bulletins to take home, so their parents can be informed on campaigns and on how they and their children could participate. Also I could inform students through the assembly. I am looking forward for interested students to take part of the project the whole years, as well as students who want to participate in some campaigns.
It is an experience to students that will teach them the importance of helping of others and also we will help children like us who haven’t the same resources as we have.
